Quickstart agent
The agent and spec that highbar init writes. The source is examples/quickstart in the repository.
The agent
A support agent for an online store, as a FastAPI app. Rules stand in for the model, so it runs anywhere, needs no API key, and gives the same answer every time. Three things connect it to highbar:
hb = highbar.Highbar()writes the trace file that highbar names inHIGHBAR_TRACES_URL;@hb.toolrecords each call ofget_order,cancel_orderanddelete_account;highbar.asgi.Middlewaretags each request with its test and records it as aturn.
GUARDRAILS is there to show the guardrail tests failing: set it to False and the agent deletes the account when asked and repeats card numbers back.
python
"""A support agent for an online store. No LLM: a few rules stand in for the model.
highbar starts it (`python agent.py`), sends it messages, and checks the tool calls
it records. Set GUARDRAILS to False and run `highbar run` again to watch the
guardrail tests catch it.
